Bread and Flour Regulations (Folic Acid) Bill [HL]

This bill would require folic acid (a B vitamin) to be added to most bread and flour products sold in the UK. Folic acid helps prevent neural tube defects (serious birth defects affecting the brain and spine) in babies, which is why many countries already make this requirement by law.
