Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill

[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to

This bill would allow adults in England who are terminally ill and expected to die within six months to request and selfadminister lifeending medication, subject to strict safeguards. Two doctors would need to independently confirm the person meets eligibility criteria, including a 14day waiting period between requests. The bill aims to give terminally ill people greater autonomy over their endoflife choices while including protections against coercion and ensuring only those with full mental capacity can access this option.

Presented by Kim Leadbeater
supported by Lord Falconer of Thoroton.
