Sexual Offences (Pardons Etc.) Bill

[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to

This bill would allow people to be pardoned (have their convictions cleared) if they were convicted under old sexual offence laws that have since been removed or changed. It recognises that some historical laws were unfair for example, laws that criminalised consensual relationships between samesex partners and gives people convicted under these outdated laws a chance to clear their records.

Presented by John Nicolson.
