Benefit Sanctions (Warnings) Bill
[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to
This bill would require the government to give people a written warning before stopping their benefits as a penalty. Currently, benefits can be cut off immediately if someone breaks the rules (like not attending appointments). The bill aims to give people a chance to understand what went wrong and put it right before losing their money.
Presented by Chris Stephens.
