School Attendance (Duties of Local Authorities and Proprietors of Schools) Bill

This bill sets out the legal responsibilities that local authorities (councils) and school leaders must follow to make sure children attend school regularly. It aims to tackle school absence by making these organisations more accountable for keeping track of pupils and taking action when attendance drops.
