Rehabilitation of Offenders Bill [HL]

[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to

This bill is about giving people who committed crimes a 'fresh start' after enough time has passed since their conviction. It would allow certain old criminal records to become 'spent' (hidden), so people don't have to reveal them when applying for jobs or other opportunities, helping them reintegrate into society.

Presented by Lord Ramsbotham.
