[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to
This bill requires UK public authorities (such as councils, NHS trusts, and government departments) to be transparent about their use of algorithmic and automated decisionmaking systems. It mandates that authorities document these systems, assess their impact on citizens, and provide people with meaningful information about how automated decisions affecting them are made. The bill also establishes rights for individuals to request human review of automated decisions and gives regulators powers to audit and enforce compliance.
Presented by Lord Clement-Jones.
