Prime Minister (Limitation of Period of Office) Bill [HL]
[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to
This bill proposes setting a legal maximum length of time that a Prime Minister can serve in office. Instead of relying on elections alone to change Prime Ministers, there would be a builtin rule forcing them to step down after a certain period, similar to how some countries limit their leaders' terms.
Presented by Lord Owen.
