Pension Schemes Act 2026

[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to

The Pension Schemes Bill reforms how UK pension schemes are regulated and governed to improve member protection and scheme sustainability. It strengthens the powers of the Pensions Regulator to enforce better standards, introduces new requirements for pension scheme trustees to manage risks more effectively, and gives the regulator greater ability to intervene in poorlyrun schemes. The bill also modernises rules around pension transfers and investment governance to protect savers' money from fraud and poor decisionmaking.

Presented by Liz Kendall
supported by Baroness Sherlock.
