Assets of Community Value (Sports Facilities) Bill
[As Introduced]

BILL
to
This bill expands the legal protection of sports facilities by designating them as 'Assets of Community Value' under existing community asset legislation. When a sports facility is listed as an Asset of Community Value, the local community gains the right to be notified and given time to bid if the facility is put up for sale, potentially allowing community groups to purchase it before private developers. The bill aims to preserve access to sports facilities for local communities and prevent their conversion to other uses, such as housing or commercial development, without community input.
Presented by Emma Foody.
