Health and Social Care (National Data Guardian) Bill

This bill makes the role of the National Data Guardian an independent official who protects patient privacy stronger and more official. It gives them clear legal powers to check that hospitals, doctors, and health companies keep patient data secure and use it properly, rather than just advising them informally as they do now.
