[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to
This bill aims to make hate crimes against people with learning difficulties and learning disabilities a specific criminal offence in law. Currently, such crimes may be prosecuted under general hate crime laws, but this bill would recognise disabilitybased hate crimes as a distinct crime category, similar to how race or religionbased hate crimes are already treated.
