Hate Crime (Misogyny) Bill
[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to
This bill would make misogyny (hatred of women) a reason for increasing criminal sentences, similar to how crimes motivated by racial or religious hatred are treated more seriously. It aims to protect women from crimes, like assault or harassment, that are driven by prejudice against them, by ensuring courts can recognize and punish such crimes more harshly.
Presented by Wera Hobhouse.
