Genocide Determination Bill [HL]
[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to
This bill would give Parliament the ability to formally investigate and officially declare whether genocide has happened in specific countries or conflicts. Currently, only international courts can make these declarations. If passed, it would let the UK House of Lords independently assess events and call them genocide based on their own inquiry.
Presented by Lord Alton of Liverpool.
