BILL
to
The Food Waste Bill aims to reduce the amount of food discarded across the UK supply chain, from farms and manufacturers through retailers to households. It introduces mandatory reporting requirements for large food businesses to track and publicly disclose their waste, establishes targets for waste reduction by 2030, and creates incentives for businesses to donate surplus food to charities rather than dispose of it. The bill also includes funding for infrastructure to support food redistribution networks and education campaigns to help households reduce kitchen waste.
Presented by Kerry McCarthy.
