Fertility Treatment (Right to Time Off) Bill
[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to
This bill would create a legal right for employees undergoing fertility treatment to take paid time off work for medical appointments and procedures. It would require employers to grant reasonable time off for activities such as clinic visits, egg collection, embryo transfer, and related treatments, without loss of pay or penalties to employment status. The bill aims to reduce the financial and practical barriers that prevent people from accessing fertility treatment, which can be timeintensive and emotionally demanding. It would apply across the UK to employees in both public and private sectors.
Presented by Alice Macdonald.
