[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to
This bill would make it illegal to publicly name or identify someone who has been arrested, unless they are officially charged with a crime. Currently, the media can report someone's name and details after arrest; this bill would prevent that to protect people's privacy and reputation during the investigation stage.
Presented by Lord Paddick.
