Emergency and life-saving skills (schools) Bill

[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to

This bill would require schools in England to teach emergency and lifesaving skills as part of the curriculum. Students would learn practical techniques including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the recovery position, how to use automated external defibrillators (AEDs), and how to respond to choking, bleeding, and other medical emergencies. The bill aims to equip young people with knowledge that could help them save lives in emergency situations before professional medical help arrives.

Presented by Dr Neil Shastri-Hurst.
