A
BILL
to
This bill strengthens the enforcement of car insurance requirements and increases penalties for drivers caught without valid insurance. It introduces tougher fines, potentially increased driving bans, and enhanced powers for police and enforcement officers to identify and prosecute uninsured drivers. The bill aims to reduce the number of uninsured vehicles on UK roads, which currently cause an estimated £500+ million annually in uninsured losses and put other road users at financial and physical risk.
Presented by Peter Swallow.
