Domestic Energy Efficiency (Call for Evidence) Bill

[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to

This bill requires the government to launch a formal call for evidence on how to improve energy efficiency in UK homes. Rather than implementing specific new policies immediately, it first gathers information from experts, businesses, homeowners, and other stakeholders about what measures work best and are most costeffective. The bill aims to inform future policy decisions on reducing household energy consumption and carbon emissions through better insulation, heating systems, and building standards. It essentially pauses for data collection before major legislative changes are made to domestic energy efficiency requirements.

Presented by Dr Simon Opher.
